Ekiti Para Team Ready for Opening Ceremony at National Para Games

Ekiti State’s para-athletes are set to feature in Saturday’s opening ceremony of the 3rd National Para Games in Abuja, marking the formal start of the competition.

The ceremony is scheduled to hold at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, with contingents from across the country expected to participate in the event.

According Wale Omoyeni, Media Aide on Grassroot Sports to Dr Olusola Osetoba, the Ekiti delegation has settled in and is prepared for the ceremony, which traditionally precedes the start of competitive events.

Members of the team expressed readiness ahead of the parade, with athletes and officials in camp maintaining focus as activities begin.

The opening ceremony will bring together participating states in a coordinated display, as teams are introduced before the commencement of events across different sports.

Ekiti is among the states entered for the Games, with athletes competing in multiple disciplines.

The team had arrived Abuja earlier in the week following final preparations at home, ahead of the national competition.
