Oye Edge Ado to Reach Oyebode Cup Final, Eye Male and Female Title Defence
Oye Local Government’s pursuit of a rare double title defence gathered momentum on Saturday, as the reigning champions in both the male and female categories overcame Ado Local Government 4–2 on penalties after a goalless semifinal in the Prof. Akin Oyebode Cup.
In a contest that unfolded with tactical restraint, neither side found enough attacking clarity to separate themselves in regulation time. Oye remained disciplined in their compact shape, choosing moments to break forward, while Ado dictated phases of play but struggled to translate possession into decisive chances.
