Ekiti Queens FC Stage Comeback to Seal NWFL Win Over Naija Ratels

Ekiti Queens FC produced a spirited second-half comeback to defeat Naija Ratels FC 2–1 in their Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Matchday 14 clash on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Bwari Stadium in Abuja.

Playing away from home, Ekiti Queens found themselves trailing late in the first half after Osho Paulina gave Naija Ratels the lead in the 37th minute. The hosts held on to their advantage going into the break, putting pressure on the visitors to respond.

Ekiti Queens returned for the second half with renewed intensity and purpose. Their persistence paid off in the 67th minute when Patience Yarọ calmly slotted home the equalizer to restore parity.

With momentum firmly on their side, the visitors continued to press forward and were rewarded again in the 74th minute. Ismail Zainab found the back of the net to complete the turnaround and hand Ekiti Queens a deserved lead.
