Ekiti Queens FC Intensifies Training Ahead of 2025/2026 NWFL Pre-Season
The Ekiti State women’s football team, Ekiti Queens Football Club, has intensified its build-up training sessions as part of efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season.
The team will continue its training today at the Olukismet Stadium, Ikere-Ekiti, starting at 9 a.m.
Since officially resuming pre-season activities on Monday, September 9, 2025, the club’s technical crew has been working tirelessly to ensure the team is in top shape for the upcoming campaign.
According to a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti by the club’s Media Manager, Demola Atobaba, the technical crew has left no stone unturned in preparing the players for the new season.
Atobaba noted that the management has also moved to replace players whose contracts expired last season with new talents capable of improving the team’s overall performance.
He added that the team has already played several friendly matches against invited sides as part of its build-up, while the players continue to undergo rigorous training sessions designed to ensure maximum fitness before the commencement of the NWFL pre-season engagements.
