Dr. Osetoba Cheers Ekiti Queens FC to Victory, Urges Away Wins
ADO-EKITI, Nigeria (AP) — Dr. Osetoba, Technical Advisor on Sports Development to Governor Biodun Oyebanji, cheered Ekiti Queens FC to a 2-0 victory over Confluence Queens FC at Oluyemi Kayode Stadium on Wednesday.
The home win, which marked the team’s third consecutive victory at the stadium this season, propelled Ekiti Queens FC to third place in Group A of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL).
Dr. Osetoba also provided cash support to some of the fans who turned out to support the team, acknowledging role of fans in energizing the players with their loud chants.
Applauding the squad for the crucial win, she urged them to replicate their strong performances in upcoming away matches. She reassured the team of Governor Oyebanji’s continued support, emphasizing that their outstanding performance remains the best way to appreciate the backing they receive from the administration.
