Ekiti Para Soccer Open Campaign Against FCT in Abuja
Ekiti State’s para soccer team will begin their Group B campaign at the 2026 National Para Games with a fixture against the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday in Abuja, according to Wale Omoyeni, Media Aide to Dr Olusola Osetoba on Grassroots Sports.
The opening match is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, where both teams will seek an early result in the group.
Head coach Femi Kumuyi said the team is prepared for the encounter following its build-up to the Games.
He said the players had gone through training sessions before and during camp and are ready for the demands of the competition.
The fixture will mark Ekiti’s first outing in Group B, as the team looks to open its campaign with a positive result.
The National Para Games is ongoing in Abuja, with contingents from across the country competing in multiple sports.
