NYG: Team Ekiti Joins Counterparts In Screening
Athletes participating in the 9th edition of the National Youth Games tagged Asaba 2025 were screened today at the Stephen Keshi Stadium Asaba.
Athletes were subjected to the crucial screening process to ensure compliance with age and eligibility requirements.
Team Ekiti comprising 103 Athletes also joined 4,961 athletes from across the states of the country who will compete across disciplines, for the screening exercise.
Ekiti is featuring in twenty games at the Youth tournament, which inlclude, Athletics, Badminton,Table tennis ,Para Athletics, Deaf athletics, Judo, Karate,Chess and Ayo Olopon.
Others are kick boxing, Kung Fu,Para- powerlifting, Weightlifting, Basketball, Tennis, Scrabble, Golf Gymnastics, Boxing and cricket.
Meanwhile,there was a rehearsal ahead of the opening ceremony of the Youth games scheduled for Friday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba to officially commence the tournament.
