Ekiti Speaker Hails Oyebanji’s Sports Revolution, Charges Athletes to Making Wise Use
The Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, , has applauded Governor for what he described as deliberate and impactful investment in sports development across the state.
Aribasoye gave the commendation on Wednesday during a visit to the , where he monitored the training session of Ekiti United Feeders as part of his morning exercise routine.
The Speaker praised Governor Oyebanji for appointing the Technical Advisor on Sports Development, Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, noting that her competence and leadership have continued to drive the ongoing restructuring and growth of the sports sector in Ekiti State.
He also commended the administration for several ongoing infrastructural interventions in the sector, including the rehabilitation of the stadium, construction of an indoor sports hall, sports hostel, administrative block, installation of a digital scoreboard, as well as improved welfare packages for athletes.
Aribasoye further charged athletes in the state to remain committed and disciplined while continuing to project Ekiti positively through sports, urging them to maximize the opportunities being created by the present administration.
In a show of support and encouragement, the Speaker presented cash gifts to members of Ekiti United Feeders, para-athletes and other sports participants during the visit.
With continuous investments in infrastructure and athlete welfare, stakeholders believe Ekiti State is steadily positioning itself as one of Nigeria’s emerging hubs for sports development.
