Chief Daramola Hails Sports Development in Ekiti, Confers “Orente” Title on Dr. Osetoba

Today, Chief Dr. Francis Adebayo Daramola, Secretary to the Committee that reconstructed the former Community Centre into a Sports Stadium, now known as Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado-Ekiti, paid a visit to the facility. He was accompanied by the Technical Advisor on Sports Development to the Ekiti State Governor, Hon. Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba.
During the visit, Chief Daramola commended the remarkable level of development recorded so far at the stadium under the present administration. He expressed satisfaction with the standard of work and the improvements achieved at the facility.
Chief Daramola, who is also the father of the former Honourable Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, shared his experiences as a former footballer. He also spoke about his visits to various stadiums across different countries, highlighting the strict rules governing sports facilities globally. According to him, the consumption of bottled drinks and alcohol has been banned in stadiums worldwide for many years, stressing the importance of discipline and orderliness in sports environments.
He further urged sports coaches at the Ekiti State Sports Commission to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and unity in order to give full support to the Technical Advisor. He emphasized that such cooperation is necessary to successfully achieve the sports development agenda of the Ekiti State Governor.
Chief Francis Daramola also appreciated the efforts of the Technical Advisor, Hon. Dr. Mrs. Olusola Osetoba, for her dedication and effective delivery of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s mandate in the sports sector. In recognition of her outstanding performance, he fondly named her “ORENTE.”
Also present during the visitation were Mr. Ogundele Mayowa, Acting General Manager of the Ekiti State Sports Commission; Mr. Boluwaji Idowu, Secretary of Ekiti United Football Club; and other members of staff.
