Eniola Kolade Wins Gold for Ekiti in Table Tennis at UBEC School Sports in Lagos

Ekiti State’s rising star, Kolade Eniola, has clinched a gold medal in the girls’ singles table tennis category at the ongoing UBEC School Sports Competition in Lagos, delivering a flawless performance that left no doubt about her dominance. Eniola, representing Ekiti with poise and precision, defeated opponents from Oyo, Ogun, Osun, and Ondo States in straight sets — winning each match 2–0 in the best-of-three format. The young champion didn’t drop a single set throughout the competition, showcasing not only skill but consistency at the table. Her clean sweep marks one of Ekiti’s standout moments in the competition so far. Coach Kolade, Ekiti State Table Tennis Coach praised her performance, while extending heartfelt appreciation to key supporters of grassroots sports in the state. “Thanks to our Technical Advisor, Dr. Olusola Osetoba, and Honourable Akinlayo Kolawole, the Table Tennis Chairman in Ekiti, for their support and provision of equipment for the kids,” he said. “Much thanks also go to our sports-loving governor, who is working continuously to place Ekiti State sports on the better side.” Kolade’s gold medal adds to Ekiti’s growing presence at the Primary School competitions, reinforcing the state’s investment in talents development and grassroots excellence.
