Ekiti Queens FC Secure Convincing 2-0 Win Over Dannaz Ladies

In a thrilling matchup at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ekiti Queens FC defeated Dannaz Ladies 2-0, courtesy of Captain Seun Fakunle’s 35-minute header and Tobi Sarafa’s 55-minute strike. The win marks Ekiti Queens’ second victory in three matches, earning them six points and propelling them to third place in the NWFL Group A table.

Goalkeeper Lucky made stunning saves to deny Dannaz Ladies any scoring opportunities, while an effective first-half substitution by Coach Jacob Vandy of Ekiti Queens changed the game’s dynamics.

Dr. Osetoba, Technical Advisor to the Governor on Sport Development, expressed her delight at the team’s performance, praising their determination and skill. She also appreciated the presence of dignitaries, including Hon Idowu Odebunmi, Chairman House Committee on Sports, Chief Mrs Tokunbo Ajila Jakande , Chairman Ekiti State Development Trust Funds and Aare Oluwole Oloworemo, FA Chairman.
She thanked Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, acknowledging the consistent support Ekiti Sports has received under his administration.

Ekiti Queens will face Nassarawa Amazons, who also secured a 1-0 win against Confluence Queens of Kogi, next Wednesday. The team has shown improvement in their goal-scoring ability, having scored only one goal in the last two games.

The NWFL Group A table currently stands with Ekiti Queens in third place, one point behind Remo Stars Ladies and Edo Queens. As the league heats up, SPORTIVE will provide constant updates on the teams’ progress.
