Ekiti State Government Approves Appointment of Sports Association Chairmen, Clubs Patrons
In its quest to reposition sports and ensure viable synergy with Ekiti State government’s efforts at attracting speedy development in the Sports sector, the chairmen of the various Sporting Associations in Ekiti State will be inaugurated tomorrow Tuesday September 24.
A statement signed by the Technical Advisor on Sports Development, Dr Olusola Osetoba says the inauguration will hold at the Conference Hall, Governor ‘s office in Ado Ekiti as from 11am.
Patrons and Patroness of the two State owned football clubs, Ekiti United and Ekiti Queens will also be inaugurated at the occasion.
The State governor, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji (BAO) is expected to preside at the inauguration which hopes to usher a new wave of fresh air that will complement government’s Sports developmental efforts.
The appointment of Sports Association Chairmen is in line with what obtains nationwide as such Sports inclined personalities are expected to channel their resources, influence and positions towards synergizing with government at fast tracking rapid development in the Sports sector.
The personalities whose identities will be made public at the occasion have been selected based on their prowess and accomplishments as captains of industry, politicians among others.
